Hi, this board seemed alittle empty so I spent alittle time puttng together some shapes, and soon came together a basic layout.

Anyone can join, its not really a battle but just a community contest, improve your skills and enjoy yourselves!.

Edited the layout is fine, but done change stuff around too much as that defeats the object of me putting together the shapes.

Rules:

• 1 week to complete it once we have a few people in.
  
• You may use stock images.
  
• You may use icon packs (or create your own).

This isn't really a contest, more of just a collaboration.

Come to think of it, collabs ought to have their own board. Great idea, EA.

Also, we will be having regular contests but they won't start until the official release, which we expect to happen very soon.

I dont want to colab with someone WM, but im glad I sparked an idea.

I want everyone who can put the own spin onto the design and submit results.

Oh ok, in that case, you should have been a little more clear about what you wanted people to do for the contest in the introductory post. It looked like a collab from your description. Moving the thread back to the Arena now.

I just want people to knock up a design with shapes I aranged. Good luck whoever is taking part.

I think a member run contest board is a good idea to keep in mind for our future.

Unfortunately, Kronus has lost his Internet connection for the time being, so he is not going to be able to compete.

Don't get discouraged, we'll be opening to the public soon and I'm sure you'll get some takers.

Yeh I tweaked ones brian silver made (added glass and a better gradient). I love using photoshop actions to automate things haha.

Is anyone still doing this? If so, I'm pretty happy to have a crack at it. I need some web design practice.

Having looked at the .PSD, I'll do it.

Looks like this isn't going to happen... So i'll just finish up my design and release the PSD as a resource.

Might code it up too so its ready to use.

This can still be open if you like... I didn't work any of my other as I have been busy with life.

Perhaps you guys could do a more open-ended contest that just had a one paragraph description of the client as a brief, then let the designer approach the project however he wants.
