Looks really cool. I have no idea how it could actually be used for anything, but it looks really cool.

The only thing I see weird is the red lights. They seem off in perspective, since they should be slanted like everything else.

Not bad brushing, but work on blending it. All of your brush strokes are visible, when it should just be the highlights/low-lights that are visible brushing.

I actually disagree on that point, Dayton. Visible brush strokes are just a stylistic thing. It's the same as with regular old painting: some artists show off their brush strokes, some don't.

Thanks, both of you. {Smile} The brushing strokes are not supposed to be super visable but cleaning up isn't my strong point yet.

However, this is only my second brushed template so not bad if you ask me.

Anyway thanks for replys! {Cheesy}

The header here is 100% brushed.

Why would you have little layers if your brushing it? Seems stupid too me I put every brush stroke in a different layer.

I have one main problem with this and that is that the lighting is coming from about 5 different sources. Pick 1 and stick with it. Also you need more contrast or everythign turns out a little blurry (like it has)

A few improvements and this could be a very decent piece indeed.

Wow, your computer must hate you for that. I couldn't imagine putting each stroke on a separate layer. Too much chaos. Sometimes I'll use a lot of layers, but I only break things down to shapes and maybe color groupings. It just gets unwieldy.

I wouldnt know, my computer has 2 graphics cards and 12 gigs RAM. Doesnt mind having 400+ layers {Tongue Out}

Man, I wish I had that computer.

Actually, I don't because I don't really have any need for that much power.

I do, sort of, my budding interest in rending and programming (some aspects of programming).

However yes, it is excessive (pun not intended so fuck off).

Thanks xcessive for the advice, taken on board...

As for the brushing on a single layer, I find it easier that way - And my computer isn't as forgiving as your when I do acctually design a template with over 200 layers haha.
