I made a blog layout a little while ago, before LPotF was announced, so I'm not going to put it in there, but I think I'll be making a tutorial on Drupal-izing it.
My main suggestion is in the readability area. The text on my screen at least is kinda difficult to make out, the colours are nice so dont change them, just make the text a little darker and perhaps bolder.
Also, the banner: I think it would look better if it were the same width as the rest of the blog.
