If you guys knew Kai, you'd understand that this may possibly be his best ever sig.
You should definitely see his "series" of sigs from mD, hahaha.
Nonetheless, much more important than effects mastery is having some sort of message in your work. It's why a lot of abstract art falls flat. You need to be able to say something with any piece of art, even a signature, and this piece and what I can see in your dA just aren't doing that.
Messages don't have to be complicated, but there has to be something.
If you want to practice, I'd suggest pulling open a book and flipping to a random page and making a piece about the first verb you see. Do this a couple of times and ask around for feedback.
