Mah Boot (30th Mar 10 at 12:38pm UTC)
http://wimg.co.uk/NaW.jpg (~200KB)

Done in January 2010 for AP Studio 2D. 1200x900 pixels. From Photograph. I can't remember how long it took to paint, so I'm gonna guess around 4-6 hours.

Original PSD weighs in at 9.9MB with 60 layers.

I love this, it's great - Im pretty new to brushing but im starting to see the joys of it, and the results you can create with brushing.

As xcessive said above, id love to see you do interface, or colab with me in a brushing style interface {Smile}

I'm not a big fan of interface style design, and there's a huge difference between interface and painting from a photograph.

Thats what I told Dayton, i've tried both you see, I seem to be much better at brushing from scratch.

Quite nice, I like the colour use but it needs more detail {Grin}

Looks great WM and the lighting along the boot is attractive.

@ K, no need for more detail, it would ruin it in my opinion, no need to over-do. The brushing style partnered with the simplicity makes it look as good as it does.

Id like to see the background progresses more, but as I started already I love how it looks now.

I've always been conflicted in my paintings with whether to go for more or less detail. My recent work has moved more towards the fluid, less detail side, but I've admired artists' work from both camps.
